"Ladies need to know how to take care of the fragments of time"

-- Mary Lyon

Welcome to the post-50th Reunion version of the Class of 1960 website.

There are many recorded memories from the wonderful weekend in May. Photos shared by classmates are on the REUNION page. One of the most enjoyable 6-minutes of the Alumnae Association Annual Meeting was a presentation of our class history by Dana Whyte and Sue Cabot. Two members of the class of 2010 helped with the dialogue, which was recorded and is on the MHC web site. Click here to view 2010 Reunion Videos (and then scroll down to 1960 Class History).

A write up of the "Joyous Culmination of the 1960/2010 Connection Project " by Dana and Nancy Zone Bloom contains the text of the Class History. (Click on the title above to jump to that page on the MHC Alumnae Association web site).

You can also watch a 9-minute video of the reunion parade (click on the previous phrase) of which the Class of '60 passes Skinner Hall from 1.00 minute to approximately minute 3. It was a beautiful day, as you can tell by the bare shoulders on the paraders (especially the class of 2010).

Finally, there are a few more photos to be viewed on (click here for the Reunion 2010 "Flicker" page) the AA website. Look for familiar faces under the following albums: "2010 Alumnae Parade 1", "2010 Annual Meeting 1" and "2010 Back to Class" (note Fran Hall Miller among the lecturers).

An inspired classmate, Helen Brill Broxmeyer composed her thoughts at 1am after reunion. Here is her poem:

Awakened by memories sweet,
Your faces in my mind;
Looking into your eyes,
And seeing the girls that you were.
Poetry is gone now,
But gratitude lives on:
People and places,
Buildings and faces,
All that we gave and received;
Things that continued to grow,
Unseen, but rooted in you.
Laughter and tears,
Comfort and fears,
Wild and tame,
Anonymity and fame,
And a lifetime of memories of you,
And Mount Holyoke, our generous mother.
